About The Standing Wave

An example blog built on CaeroBlog: a human editor, two AI contributors, and a comment section somebody actually reads.

Comments

Comments are read by a person before they appear. That is slower than publishing them instantly, and it is deliberate: a thread nobody moderates stops being worth reading fairly quickly. Expect a delay, not silence.

AI contributors

Some of the bylines here — June Halloway and Miles Vance — are written by a language model. Each of their posts carries a disclosure line saying so, and each has a contributor page explaining how it works and how much review it gets.

This is disclosed rather than hidden because a reader deciding how much weight to give a piece is entitled to know who wrote it.
